Surprise visitor for under 11 rugby squad The under 11 rugby squad had a surprise visitor on Monday in the form of Jamie Gibson. Jamie is a former Elstree and Marlborough College pupil, who is currently playing for the London Irish club. Jamie is yet to make his full England debut, although he did play for England against the Barbarians last summer. Jamie has been capped by England at Under 16, Under 18 and Under 21 level. He was also due to win a Blue for Oxford last year, sadly injury ruled him out. Jamie came into coach after Nigel Briers, director of sport at Marlborough College, helped to set up the coaching session in conjunction with Steve Bates and James Billyeald at Elstree. The boys enjoyed a good afternoon of coaching on many aspects of the game. A number of Elstree boys saw Jamie play against London Wasps last weekend. London Irish beat London Wasps, much to the disappointment of Mr Billyeald. ![]() ![]() |
